Bones 04:32
We are the ones stuck in the same light Down in the binding of mankind We were the black sheep of this realm And they never thought that this would be real They said that we would never be as one They were so wrong, so fucking wrong They said we are just another bottle in the ground 'Cause they never saw that we were a ship on the sea Side by side We're stuck in the same light We're stuck in the same light We're stuck in the same light Maybe it's time to stop pretending That we are okay That we are in a straight line 'Cause we both know that it's just a lie I'm staring at the ocean crying for your return Thinking about all that we left to burn Now there's nothing but memories Now there's nothing but broken bones We are the ones stuck in the same light Down in the binding of mankind We were the black sheep of this realm And they never thought that this would be real Tell me what I have to do Now that you're leaving Tell me what I have to do Now that I'm alone I'm in an abandoned sea so far away from you What happened to the stories? If only I could walk on water This shouldn't be the end Maybe it's time to stop pretending That we are okay That we are in a straight line 'Cause we both know that it's just a lie I'm staring at the ocean crying for your return Thinking about all that we left to burn Now there's nothing but memories Now there's nothing but broken bones We were just trying to find our own way in life But they never learned We were just sailing away to the ocean And the seven seas Sinking down into the blue While the waves hit the shore Trying to find a way To cease this silence You... you don't need to go No, you don't need to go There's a story in here And I want your name right in the pages Like it was supposed to be Maybe it's time to stop pretending That we are okay That we are in a straight line 'Cause we both know that it's just a lie I'm staring at the ocean crying for your return Thinking about all that we left to burn Now there's nothing but memories Now there's nothing but broken bones Maybe it's time to stop pretending That we are okay That we are in a straight line 'Cause we both know that it's just a lie I'm staring at the ocean crying for your return Thinking about all that we left to burn Now there's nothing but memories Now there's nothing but broken bones Where's my brother now?

about

Bones holds a distinctive position in the Heartless Forever repertoire as the first song created with the lineup featured in 'Lullabies for Broken Hearts,' comprised of Rod, David, Chris, and Jorge. Notably, it marked the inclusion of Jorge as the newest member of the band at that time.

In celebration of the band's monumental 10th-year anniversary, Heartless Forever has undertaken a special release. This commemorative project involves the re-recording of 'Bones,' breathing fresh vitality into the song. Additionally, the release features the inclusion of the 2014 demo of 'Bones'—an intriguing facet distinct from the album version.

Despite changes in the band's lineup since the creation of 'Lullabies for Broken Hearts,' 'Bones' remains an enduring anthem for Heartless Forever. Widely considered the band's most beloved and important song, it holds a special place in the hearts of both the members and their dedicated fanbase. This unique release not only pays homage to the band's evolution but also captures a moment in time when the lineup was solidifying. 'Bones' stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of Heartless Forever, offering both dedicated fans and new listeners an opportunity to experience the evolution of this cherished and significant composition.
